Dynamic Empowerment in Peace Education - Cambridge Scholars Publishing
Ananda's founder, Dr. Sita Dasa developed our three-angle approach to empowerment for peace in her book, Dynamic Empowerment in Peace Education: A Three- Angle Approach.
Combining aspects of satyagraha, moral reasoning as normative justification, and existential biocentrism, Ananda offers a new approach to peace education that focuses on embodied peace, personal change, communication, and greater global responsibility.
It's time to change the way we relate to one another and to recognize ourselves as one human family. We must move beyond ingroup bias, groupthink, and a polarized "us vs them" mentality. Violence begins in the mind, in fear, and in separation. We're enabled, through our consciousness and choice, to sustain life and heal our planet. It is possible to recognize the true potential of our species, but first one must know and heal the self.
Sita Dasa, PhD, is a Doctor of Philosophy of Foundations of Education (philosophy of education) with a minor and graduate certification in peace education. She also has extensive experience in behavioral medicine/psychology, social ecology, and yogic philosophy (ERYT-500). Message us about our courses.
We must show up for justice, fairness, human & environmental rights; but first, we must embody love, justice, and peace ourselves.
We offer Ahimsa (nonviolence) training with a focus on embodied peace and dynamic empowerment.
